What it was
Arcadeum was a self-custodial, fully on-chain casino on Arbitrum. Its games, including Roulette, Dice, Slide, Blast-Off (crash) and Plinko, settled through smart contracts, with randomness from API3's quantum random number generator (QRNG). The project called itself “the GMX of gambling”.
Bets were backed by ALP, a single-asset USDT pool that received player losses and paid out wins. The project said it chose USDT because Circle's USDC terms prohibit gambling. ARC was the utility token; staked versions (sARC, xARC, esARC) shared ALP fees and betting fees.
The X account 0xPataca describes itself as Arcadeum's “Founder + Lead Dev”. We found no legal entity or real names behind the project.

How it ended
Arcadeum never announced a shutdown. Its last update, “Arcadeum: New Beginnings” (11 Apr 2023), said that “the last two weeks have been particularly risk-on for gambling platforms and their token holders from a legal perspective” and that Arcadeum had “taken a step back” so as not to put the ARC community at risk. It promised new games and more staff.
The X account posted once more, on 18 April 2023, and then stopped. The last event we found on the documented Roulette contract dates from 15 May 2023, and the last Wayback capture of the casino front end from 18 May 2023. By March 2025 the domain no longer served the casino. Since at least September 2025, arcadeum.io has hosted an unrelated crypto presale review site.
No official reason has been found.
Token today
ARC is an Arbitrum One token with a fixed maximum supply of 10,000,000. According to the docs, 3.5 million went to the initial Uniswap V3 liquidity, 2 million to esARC incentives, 2 million each to a pre-seed and a seed round, and 0.5 million to partnerships; seed vesting ended on 3 March 2023. On 19 October 2026 the contract reported a total supply of about 9.73 million ARC, reflecting tokens burned since launch.
The main ARC/WETH pool still held about 89.9 WETH and 5.6 million ARC on 19 October 2026, so it was not emptied. ARC still changes hands in small amounts, but CoinGecko lists no active markets and last updated its price on 23 June 2026.
On the same date, the ALP contract held about 34 USDT and the House contract about 1,092 USDT. In March 2023, ALP had held more than $1 million. We found no official guidance for remaining ALP holders.

Questions
Was Arcadeum a rug pull?
We found no evidence of a liquidity pull: the main ARC/WETH pool still held about 89.9 WETH in October 2026. The project stopped communicating after April 2023 without a closure notice, so we list it as offline, not as a rug pull.
Who ran Arcadeum?
The X account 0xPataca describes itself as Arcadeum's founder and lead developer. We found no company or real names behind the project.
