What it was
Blockchain Bets (BCB) grew out of World Cup Inu, a betting token for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It offered a sportsbook with Traditional, Battle (player-vs-player) and on-chain “Degen” modes on Ethereum and Arbitrum, plus a casino and arcade, without KYC.
BCB was an Ethereum token with a fixed 1 billion supply. The project promised to share 100% of platform profits with BCB stakers.
Timeline

- BCB token contract deployed on Ethereum. [2]
- BCB all-time high of $0.0593 (CoinGecko). [3]
- Wayback Machine capture of blockchainbets.app with HTTP 200. [6]
- Exploit: an attacker drains about 177.96M BCB from the staking contract through an ERC-1155 callback reentrancy flaw, realising about 17.57 ETH in a single transaction. [4]
- blockchainbets.app returns HTTP 403.
How it ended
On 28 April 2026 at 15:48 UTC, an attacker exploited the BCB staking contract 0x3331F6359Ff4B118Ee8a68Ed2A1edFF0238A4f52. According to an independent analysis, a reentrancy flaw let the attacker mint unbacked staking receipts and redeem them for about 177.96 million BCB. These were sold for about 17.57 ETH in transaction 0x879b365b…e0ba69, which CertiK Skylens labels “Blockchain Bets Exploit”.
We found no official statement from Blockchain Bets about the exploit, compensation or the project's future.
