What it was

Exeedme started as a play-to-earn platform for competitive gaming: players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Call of Duty: Warzone could challenge opponents, bet on their own victory and win crypto or NFTs. XED was its token on Ethereum.

Polkastarter lists Nuno Fernandes (co-founder and CEO) and Francisco Varela (co-founder and CSO) as founders, and says the project raised $900,000 from investors including Moonrock Capital, Morningstar Ventures and AU21 Capital. The Skins Protocol website names EXEEDME OÜ, an Estonian company (reg. no. 16122490), as operator.

Timeline

  1. XED sale on Polkastarter: 1.5 million XED at $0.05 for 400 whitelisted addresses (102 ETH raised); Uniswap trading starts the same day. [3]
  2. Exeedme reports more than $18 million in trading volume in the first six hours. [3]
  3. The original XED token reaches its all-time high of $1.99. [10]
  4. Snapshot for a 1:1 migration to a new XED contract; a 12-month migration window starts, together with an Exeedme DAO. [5]
  5. The first Exeedme DAO vote, on Skins Protocol as “the trading layer of gaming”, closes. [7]
  6. Exeedme warns that the migration ends on 14 January 2026 and that unclaimed tokens will be lost. [6]
  7. Exeedme burns 33,541,569.87 XED, about a third of total supply. [8]
  8. “Exeedme is evolving into Skins Protocol”, a marketplace for buying and selling CS2 skins. [9]
  9. Skins Protocol goes live; it is the last original post on the Exeedme X account (a repost follows on 20 Feb). [1]
  10. The new XED records its all-time low of $0.00178 on CoinGecko; its data stops updating the next day. [11]
  11. exeedme.com redirects to skinsprotocol.com; the new XED shows about $1 of daily volume on CoinGecko. [13]

How it ended

Exeedme did not announce a shutdown. It moved its token to a new contract in 2025, burned about a third of the new supply in January 2026 and then renamed the business Skins Protocol, a CS2 skins marketplace, in February 2026. The Exeedme X account now calls itself “Exeedme (now Skins Protocol)” and has not posted since 20 February 2026.

The Skins Protocol website (19 Oct 2026) says the product is “powered by Exeedme's investment”, but we found no use of XED on it. XED now has almost no trading, and the project no longer posts about it.

Token today

Old XED (Ethereum 0xee573a945b01b788b9287ce062a0cfc15be9fd86) was replaced 1:1 by new XED (0xef7f7820a001aabac5e0979b175c9ff8af3dd4ec) based on the 14 January 2025 snapshot. The migration portal at token.exeedme.com was still online on 19 October 2026.

Etherscan shows a maximum total supply of about 66.46 million new XED, consistent with 100 million minus the 33.54 million burned in January 2026. On 19 October 2026 CoinGecko showed about $1.17 of 24-hour volume for the new XED and about $4.66 for the old token.

Questions

Did Exeedme shut down?

Not formally. The company rebranded to Skins Protocol, a CS2 skins marketplace, in February 2026. The XED token has seen almost no trading since, and the Exeedme X account stopped posting on 20 February 2026.

Can old XED still be migrated?

The project said the migration ended on 14 January 2026 and that unclaimed tokens would be lost.
