What it was

Pirate Dice was a yield farm on Polygon with small gambling games. Users staked liquidity tokens to earn BOOTY, which was used to bet in games such as Pirate Dice (with Chainlink VRF randomness), Captain's Coin (heads or tails) and Crown and Anchor. In the dice game, 5% of the BOOTY bet was set aside for burning.

Its roadmap also listed a single-asset BOOTY pool, an NFT treasure game and community governance of all contracts. The developer used the pseudonym “piratejeff” on GitHub and Telegram; we found no real names or company.

How it ended

Pirate Dice never announced a closure. Its X account stopped posting on 1 July 2021, about a month after launch and after the BOOTY price had fallen from its 7 June 2021 high. On 10 June the project had posted “Ride out the storm pirates!”.

The website was still online in April 2022. By June 2024 the domain was listed for sale, and in October 2026 it no longer resolved.

No official reason has been found.

Token today

BOOTY is a token on Polygon. CoinGecko's project description says rewards were 1 BOOTY per block and that total supply would be capped at 1,000,000. On 19 October 2026 the BOOTY contract reported a total supply of about 1,347,967 BOOTY. We found no documentation explaining the difference.

CoinGecko still lists a QuickSwap market. On 19 October 2026 BOOTY traded at about $0.0019, more than 99.9% below its all-time high, with a few dollars of daily volume. No official claim or migration process has been found.

Questions

Is BOOTY still traded?

Barely. CoinGecko lists one QuickSwap market with a few dollars of daily volume (19 Oct 2026). The project itself has been silent since July 2021.
